To celebrate Lamborghini founder's 100th birthday the Italian automaker will produce a limited edition Lamborghini Centenario that will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show 2016.
The Lamborghini Centenario is likely to feature styling derived from Lamborghini’s current model range. Although it is not confirmed, it is expected to use the Aventador platform with a unique design. Lamborghini limited editions of late, the Sesto Elemento and Veneno, have been pretty extreme. Rumours suggets that the Centenario will be dialed down a notch, with an emphasis on a more stylish vehicle.
It will receive an upgraded verison of the 6.5-litre V12 engine, pushing in excess of the Surveloce’s 740hp. Potential customers have already been shown rederings, although it isn’t clear whether the planned 20 unit production run has already sold out. Prices are expected to match demand, although the car will likely be made at a loss to the Italian manufacturer.
